The Consumer Vulnerability Index (CVI) for South Africa amounted to 52.1 in the third quarter of 2015 – slightly up on the 51.6 recorded in the previous quarter. The CVI has been creeping up since the beginning of 2014, with the average CVI score during 2015 being 3 points higher than in 2014 and 4.9 points up on the level recorded in 2013.
