The Consumer Vulnerability Index (CVI) for South Africa amounted to 52.1 in the first quarter of 2015 – the same as in the previous quarter. The CVI has been creeping up since the second quarter of 2013, and the average CVI score during 2014 was 5.2 points above the 45.3 recorded in 2013.
