EasyData EViews Add-In

Minimum Requirements

Before you begin, please make your system complies to all of the following requirements:

• EViews 12 or later installed and operational. (Previous versions are not supported, since they do not support the new WF2 workfile format.)
• Windows Operating System.
• Working internet connection is required.
• An EasyData subscription is required. After login, go to https://www.easydata.co.za/account/ to copy your unique user AUTH_TOKEN. It is necessary to authenticate your add-in.
• If you have already installed the add-in, please refer to the update section below.

Installation Instructions

Follow these steps to install the EasyData EViews Add-In.

Step 1: Download the latest add-In install package *.aipz

Download the latest EViews Add-In (v1.1; 2021-06-04).

Step 2: Double-click to install the Add-In.

Select your EViews add-in directory to place the installation files required. Default location is fine.

* If you have a previous install, you may click to to proceed and overwrite the previously installed add-in, however it is recommended to follow the Upgrade process detailed below.

Step 3: Fetch selection data

Within EViews, navigate to the “add-in” file menu and select “Fetch easydata”.

Step 4: Follow EViews user dialog

The user dialog allows you to select your particular selection and time series frequency you require.

Step 5: Save your new workfile

From the file menu, choose “save as” to save the downloaded workfile.  You may link your downloaded workfile to an existing model or start work on a new project.

Upgrade Instructions

Navigate to the EViews Add-In file menu

Step 1: Click on Manage Add-Ins

Step 2: Select the installed EasyData Add-In

Step 3: EViews checks for available update (internet connection required)
